Superhydrophilic Interconnected Biomass‐Based Absorbers Toward High‐Speed Evaporation for Solar Steam Generation

Taking abundant and sustainable solar energy as the only source, solar-powered interface evaporation has been regarded a promising method to alleviate pressure of freshwater shortage. However, uptake clean water from brine is constantly accompanied by condensation vapor, which inevitably generates salt solid, preventing further continuous stable evaporation. The most direct fabricate photothermal material with self-resistance using reflux ions. Here, superhydrophilic interconnected biomass carbon absorber (SBCA) prepared freeze-drying carbonization, realizing strong liquid pumping, self-blocking salt. In combination superior broadband light absorption (94.91%), high porosity (95.9%), superhydrophilicity, excellent thermal localization, an device rate (2.45 kg m−2 h−1 under 1 kW m−2) successfully proposed. meantime, porous skeleton rapid transport can enhance diffusion ions slow down deposition. As result, no deposition found on SBCA surface after irradiation at for 15 h. design provide convenient low-cost efficient strategy steam generators address acquisition.
